Paediatric First Aid Theory

Our E-Learning Paediatric First Aid Theory will provide First Aid appropriately and effectively to an ill or injured child or infant before the arrival of qualified medical assistance.

Course Agenda:

• Understand the importance of first aid for infants and children.
• Learn how to assess a child’s condition and ensure scene safety.
• Recognise and respond to choking, bleeding, burns, and fractures.
• Perform CPR on infants and children safely.
• Treat shock, seizures, and allergic reactions appropriately.
• Manage head injuries and unconsciousness in young patients.
• Know infection control principles when treating children.
• Understand when to seek emergency help and how to communicate effectively.
• Keep accurate accident and incident records.
• Maintain calm, reassurance, and child-friendly communication during emergencies.
